Abstract
Abelian dominance in the case of color sources in the fundamental repr esentation is shown to follow from certain properties of maximal abeli an projected SU(2) gauge theory. The possibility of having an analog o f abelian dominance in the case of adjoint representation sources is a ddressed in the same framework.
