Abstract
A continuous membrane column (CMC) combined with a PSA oxygen generato r was utilized for the production of high-purity oxygen. The oxygen-en riched gas generated by PSA, with a concentration of 93-94%, is fed to the CMC that consists of three modules of poly(imide) hollow fibers. Various experimental parameters, such as feed flow rate, transmembrane pressure, stage cut, and feed location, were examined to obtain a hig her oxygen concentration above 99.0%. A CMC was also used in a two-ser ies unit mode. Experimental results showed that the CMC combined with PSA could continuously produce high-purity oxygen (above 99.0%).
