Abstract
A new portable, monostatic, high-frequency minisodar for investigating the structure and dynamics of the lower planetary boundary layer is d escribed. The minisodar's digital system was designed to be flexible a nd portable. A special microantenna system using arrays of small piezo electric tweeters was developed. Examples of facsimile records from me asurements in the Arctic with Doppler-analysis of the vertical velocit y demonstrate the capabilities of the minisodar.
