Jv. Marteniuk et al., SELECTION OF EQUINE HEALTH AND REPRODUCTION MANAGEMENT SOFTWARE, The Compendium on continuing education for the practicing veterinarian, 16(2), 1994, pp. 209-213
Various equine management software programs are available for practiti
oners. By carefully reviewing available software and selecting an appr
opriate program, an equine practice can meet current needs and accommo
date future expectations. Selecting an appropriate software program re
quires consideration of a number of issues. These issues include the e
xisting computer hardware, the scope of the software program, the ease
with which new users can utilize the software, the availability of ma
nuals and assistance from the software-marketing company, the stabilit
y of the software marketing company, and the capability of a program t
o store data in a format that can be exported or transferred to other
programs.
