ASSESSMENT OF THE RELATIVE EFFECTS OF ALCOHOL ON DIFFERENT TYPES OF JOB BEHAVIOR

A study was conducted to determine the effects of alcohol ingestion on performance on the four behavioural processes that constitute most in dustrial tasks; perception, mediation, communication, and motor contro l. In this research, a single task that incorporated all four of the b ehavioural processes was designed, so that the relative effects of alc ohol on the processes could be studied. Regression equations were deve loped which provide a model for the assessment of the impact of alcoho l ingestion on industrial task performance.
