Abstract
An important goal of any rational approach to chemotherapy should be t he deployment of methods to evaluate the potential responsiveness of a tumour cells prior to treatment, together with methods for obtaining early indications of the effectiveness of a selected schedule. This pr esentation dealt with the never applications of flow cytometry and las er scanning confocal fluorescence microscopy (LSCFM) to the analysis o f cellular factors that determine the cytotoxic potential of anthracyc lines and related agents.
