Abstract
The valence-band photoemission experiments on Nd-Ce-Cu-O are reviewed, concluding that little progress has been made with this oxide up to n ow, though some experiments suggest the formation of a new ''midgap st ate'' in the charge-transfer gap upon Ce doping.
