Abstract
We have studied a new class of one-dimensional quasiperiodic lattices, for which the substitution rules are B --> BA, and A --> BAB. The Koh moto-Kadanoff-Tang (KKT) renormalization group method has been used to study the asymptotical behavior of the spectrum. It is found that the energy spectra are Cantor-like but have different self-similarity fro m that of Fibonacci lattice. By use of several different criteria, thr ee kinds of wave function behavior (extended, localized, and intermedi ate states) are clearly observed.
