Abstract
LaNi5 powder was mixed with metallic nickel powders. The powdered and compacted mixtures were subjected to hydriding-dehydriding cycles. Hyd rogen absorption occurs by a nucleation and growth process and can be strongly changed by altering the particle size of the nickel powder.
