Zero-field-cooled and field-cooled neutron depolarisation measurements
on amorphous Fe90-xRuxZr10 ribbons show that systems with low Ru conc
entrations (x approximate to 1) undergo para- to ferro- to cluster-spi
n glass-like phase transitions as the temperature is lowered. In syste
ms with higher Ru concentrations (x approximate to 5) a complete break
down of ferromagnetic correlation occurs at all temperatures. However,
a stretched exponential-type relaxation behaviour of the field-induce
d magnetisation arising from the formation of unstable spin glass clus
ters is observed at low temperatures.
