Abstract
72 patients with erectile dysfunction who showed insufficient erection on intracorporal injection of vasoactive drugs, were evaluated by cav ernosometry using continuous registration of intracorporal flow and pr essure values. Besides maintenance flow, the parameters occlusion coef ficient (plateau pressure/maintenance flow), half term pressure and di minishing of these parameters after PGE1-injection proved useful in di agnosing venous insufficiency. Using this technique only 27/72 patient s could be classified as venous insufficient, at which modulation of p arameters by PGE1 gives essential diagnostic information.
