Abstract
A new pLT-5 vector that can be used for transforming dicotyledonous pl ants was constructed. Its T-region contains direct repeats of the P-gl ucuronidase gene fragment. These repeats are located in such a way tha t their recombination results in the recovery of gene structure and, t herefore, of the gene's ability to be expressed in plant cells.
