In view of the recent improvements in the evaluation of the correction
terms in superallowed Fermi Ft-values, we revisit the limits on scala
r couplings deduced from their constancy as a function of energy relea
se. Taking into account the presence of possible core non-overlap effe
cts, the limit on the corresponding Fierz interference term b(F) becom
es 1.6 x 10(-2) at 90-degrees CL, i.e. about three times less restrict
ive than previously estimated.
