Abstract
It is shown that mechanical compression behaviour in the fibre directi on for laminated carbon/epoxy structure can be predicted with an elast ic non-linear model. For that purpose, a specific bending test has bee n developed. A model for any stacking sequence is proposed and verifie d in several tension, compression and bending tests. Finally, a possib le explanation using the model proposed by Lee and Harris is developed .
