ALTERNATIVE VOLUME AND QUANTITY FORMULAS FOR INDIVIDUAL TREES

General definitions of volume and quantity as multiple definite integr als are used as the basis for deriving alternative formulas that apply to individual trees. Some of these formulas are quite familiar to for esters, whereas others are new. Potential applications of these formul as in conjunction with importance sampling are discussed.
