Abstract
The water soluble poly(gamma-glutamic acid) (gamma-PGA) was synthetize d by bacteria. A series of new, less water soluble alpha-esters were p repared by repeated esterification. The characterization of the result ed polymers was performed by 200 MHz H-1 and 75.4 MHz C-13 NMR spectro scopy.
