Abstract
During the process of preparing uniform magnetite colloidal particles, a series of samples which were aging at different time not more than one hour were obtained by means of abruptly descending temperature Mos sbauer spectra of these samples were measured at liquid nitrogen tempe rature. The results showed that gamma-FeOOH was the intermediate produ ct in the process of formation of uniform magnetite colloidal particle s.
