Abstract
The conditions for oxidation of Am(III) by a mixture of Ag+ and sodium persulfate in H2SO4 SolUtions containing the ''unsaturated' 11th orde r heteropolycompounds K7PW11O39, K8SiW11O39, K8GeW11O39, and K9BW11O39 are studied. The conditions for preparing Am(IV) and -(VI) are found and their stability is studied. This class of heteropolycompounds can be used in the analytical chemistry of Am.
