Molybdenosis was induced in 20 goats of 5-7 months of age. The two tre
atment groups of 8 goats each were drenched daily ammonium molybdate s
olution to provide molybdenum @ 50 and 100 ppm of feed intake on dry-m
atter basis for 235 days. Four goats of control group received placebo
distilled water. Gross lesions were general debility and depigmentati

ent from the hair cortex and medulla haemosiderosis of lymphnodes, spl
een, liver, lungs and intestines, degenerative changes in the liver, s
keletal muscles and testes, colloidal goitre and arrested bone growth.
