This paper concerns a new approach to the investigation of non-linear
behaviours of heated rhombic plates. A new set of differential equatio
ns in oblique co-ordinates have been derived in this investigation. Nu
merical results showing central deflection parameters versus thermal l
oad functions have been computed for different skew angles theta. For
theta = theta-degrees the results obtained in the present study are in
excellent agreement with the known results. It is believed that the r
esults obtained for other different skew angles are completely new.
