Abstract
Metal phthalocyanines (M = Cu, Ni, Co, SnCl2) 3-6 containing four 14-m embered tetraaza macrocycles have been prepared. Detosylation of the a za functions has provided donor sites for binding four Ni2+ ions givin g a pentanuclear complex which is extremely soluble in polar solvents. The mass spectrum of the l)-tetrakis-macrocycle-phthalocyaninato]copp er(II) 3 is described
