V. Conzonno et al., CADMIUM AND CHROMIUM INTERACTIONS WITH AQUATIC HUMIC SUBSTANCES FROM ARGENTINE PONDS, Fresenius environmental bulletin, 3(1), 1994, pp. 1-5
Cadmium and chromium interactions with aquatic humic substances from p
ampasic ponds (Argentina) were studied by gel permeation chromatograph
y. Separations of humic-metal complexes and free ions were performed v
ia Sephadex G-15 and elution curves were analized. It was observed tha
t Cr and Cd (usual pollutants in argentine environments) form complexe
s with humic substances which may affect their toxicity. The photo-sta
bility of the complexes was also taken into account.
