Abstract
New information is presented on the gross morphology (peraeopod 7, uro pod 3), cuticular fine structure, live colour, population structure, f ecundity, egg size, brood volume, breeding season, diet and behaviour of the oedicerotid amphipod Monoculodes gibbosus Chevreux, 1888, one o f the rarest amphipods in the British marine fauna, from animals colle cted over a one-year period in Loch Fyne, Scotland.
