Continuous ethanolic fermentation in strictly anaerobic conditions of
200 g/L glucose solutions by Saccharomyces cerevisiae FDH1 is studied.
FDH1 is a genetic hibrid alcohol resistant strain. The fermentor is o
perated at 30-degrees-C and pH, 3.4, and the influence of dilution rat
e on productivity is graphically determinated. The maximum productivit
y, 2.4 g/L.h, is achieved at a dilution rate of approximately 0.030 h-
1. This value is also analiticaly verified. The continuous fermentatio
n is analiticaly studied and the results are compared with the obtaine
d by other authors.
