Abstract
The present paper reports the synthesis of polynuclear complex compoun ds as precursors for Mn-Zn ferrites by hydrolytical decomposition. The polynuclear coordination compounds have the general formula : Fe(x)II Fe(y)III(Mn0.5Zn0.5)(C2O4)2(OH)2x+3y-2 . nH2O, where x and y can be : 0.2 less-than-or-equal-to less-than-or-equal-to x less-than-or-equal-t o 1.0 and 1.8 less-than-or-equal-to y less-than-or-equal-to 1. All the se polynuclear compounds were characterized by electronic and IR spect ra, magnetic measurements.
