Abstract
A mathematical model is proposed for self-consistent calculation of no nlinear equations of heat and balance for charged particles in the pos itive column of glow discharge in lasers with diffusion cooling. The e lectron density distributions calculated according to this model make it possible to refine the value of total amplification corresponding t o the threshold of laser generation.
