A. Matsuura et al., SUCCESSFUL RESECTION OF DESCENDING THORACIC AORTIC-ANEURYSM USING HYPOTHERMIC TOTAL-BODY RETROGRADE PERFUSION WITHOUT AORTIC CLAMP, Scandinavian journal of thoracic and cardiovascular surgery, 27(3-4), 1993, pp. 191-193
A descending thoracic aortic aneurysm was safely resected via a median
sternotomy, using total body retrograde perfusion without an aortic c
lamp. This new technique is an excellent adjunct in surgery for aneury
sm of the proximal descending thoracic aorta.
