Abstract
The authors present a synthesis of the naturally occurring viral infec tions of the European Rabbit (Oryctolagus cuniculus). They describe su ccessively DNA (myxomatosis, Shope Fibroma virus, herpesvirus infectio ns, papillomatosis) and RNA virus infections (rotavirus, coronavirus a nd calicivirus). The actual knowledge about the infectious agent, the epidemiology, the pathogenesis, the clinical signs, the gross and the microscopic lesions, the diagnosis and the prophylaxis of the diseases are given.
