SUPERCRITICAL-FLUID CHROMATOGRAPHY

Principles of supercritical fluid chromatography (SFC) are discussed. Properties of supercritical fluids are briefly outlined. Arrangement o f a supercritical fluid chromatograph (source of a supercritical fluid , sample introduction, columns, restrictors, detectors) is presented. Possibilities of the SFC are compared with those of gas chromatography and high performance liquid chromatography. Some illustrative applica tions are shown.
