ACTIONS AGAINST STILLBIRTH - TRICHLOROPHO N IN THE FEED OF SOWS .2.

Trichlorophon (an organophosphorous compound) was mixed into the feed of experimental sow groups at a dose of 20 mg/body-mass kg (on three f arms operated with 600, 350 and 400 sows, respectively) on the 112nd d ay of pregnancy. Untreated sow groups and the data of previous year se rved as controls. Ratio of stillborn piglets was 3.7% as compared to t he 5.1% of control sows and to the 14.7% of the previous year, while t hat of the lengths of the farrowing were 3.3 hours, 3.9 hours and 5.2 hours, respectively.
