Abstract
A rigorous mathematical model is developed for the simulation of absor ption in a packed column. For the solving of the diffusion and reactio n equations around gas-lichid interface was used the orthogonal colloc ation method and for the integration of the mathematical model equatio ns of the reactor a general computing programe, based on Runge-Kutta m ethod of fourth order, was developed. The solving metods were exemplif ied by the carbon dioxide absorbtion in monoethanolamine solutions.
