Abstract
A solid reagent consisting of hydrosilane functions immobilized on the surface of silica gel was used in conjunction with acetic acid and te trakis(triphenylphosphine)palladium(0) catalyst to effect the reductio n of alkynes to Z-olefins. Simple filtration provides a convenient mea ns far the reaction workup and isolation of products.
