Abstract
Extraskeletal (soft-tissue) myxoid chondrosarcoma is an uncommon malig nant tumour that usually develops in the fifth, sixth or seventh decad e of life. The authors describe its occurrence in a 6-year-old boy. Hi stologically, the tumour must be differentiated from parachordoma and epithelioid hemangioendothelioma, with which it shares some features.
