Abstract
The tensor analyzing powers T20 and T22 of the nuclear fragmentation r eaction of 9 GeV/c deuterons with the proton emission at nonzero angle s are calculated. The calculations are carried out with the deuteron w ave functions corresponding to different N-N scattering potentials. Th e change in the polarization of nucleons, arising as a result of motio n of a polarized deuteron, is analyzed. An experimental observation of this effect can be used to make a choice between the instantaneous sh ape and light front dynamics for describing the deuteron structure at small distances.
