Abstract
In this letter, some results on the one-spin asymmetry obtained by the
FNAL E704 collaboration for inclusive pion production in the 200 GeV/
c polarized proton beam are discussed. It is argued that the presented
data cannot be interpreted in the sense adopted by the authors.
