Abstract
Metronidazole-susceptible pretreatment isolates and metronidazole-resi stant posttreatment isolates of Helicobacter pylori from 11 patients b efore and after unsuccessful triple therapy consisting of metronidazol e, amoxicillin, and colloidal bismuth subcitrate were studied. Ribotyp ing (rRNA gene restriction pattern analysis) of the isolates demonstra ted that all patients except one had identical digest patterns for pre - and posttreatment isolates.
