Abstract
Deviations of the position of the isocenter were quantitatively assess ed for CT-based limited volume irradiation of brain tumors. Of the lin ear deviations, 95% were within 10 mm and 3 mm during treatment planni ng and delivery, respectively. The application of face masks before CT planning improved the accuracy of field alignment. Repeated CT examin ations seemed to be more important after simulation than during treatm ent delivery.
