Abstract
The addition of neoplastic cells (NC) isolated from murine mammary gla nd adenocarcinomas having moderate and high metastatic ability on in v itro heparinized mice platelet rich plasma (PRP) induced platelet aggr egation. One non-metastatic line did not induce aggregation. The aggre gatory effect was not correlated with the metastatic abilities. None o f the three types of tumors did cause aggregation on whole blood or PR P of rats. These adenocarcinomas seem to be suitable models to study i n vitro the interactions between platelets and tumor cells having meta static and non-metastatic potentials.
