G. Audry et al., AMPUTATION OF PENIS AFTER CIRCUMCISION - PENOPLASTY USING EXPANDABLE PROSTHESIS, European journal of pediatric surgery, 4(1), 1994, pp. 44-45
A two-year-old boy was referred for correction of an amputation of pen
is following ritual circumcision. The reconstruction involved mobiliza
tion of the profound part of corpora cavernosa and coverage by a vascu
larised flap taken from the hypogastric area through the use of a sub-
cutaneous expandable prosthesis. After two years, appearance of the ne
o-penis is satisfactory considering the initial lesions.
