We propose here a theoretical method using the De Launay model to calc
ulate phonon dispersion curves and density of states g(nu) of KC(n)(wi
th n = 2, 3, 6, and 8). With those curves, we evaluate the specific he
at C(v) the Debye temperature theta(D), and the lambda parameter used
in McMillan's formula with the help of the measured superconducting tr
ansition temperature T(c). The curve lambda versus the density of inte
rcalated potassium permits the evaluation of the critical temperature
of KC2 compound.
