Ae. Babaev et Vg. Savin, OPERATION OF A CYLINDRICAL PIEZOELECTRIC TRANSDUCER SHIELDED BY AN ELASTIC SHELL IN THE RECEPTION OF TRANSIENT ACOUSTIC-WAVES, Acoustical physics, 39(6), 1993, pp. 513-516
The effects of a plane transient pressure wave on a system consisting
of an infinitely long piezoceramic cylinder shielded by an outer coaxi
al elastic shell is investigated. The unbounded exterior space and the
space between the cylinders are filled with fluids. Equations of the
linear theory of electroelastic and elastic shells and the acoustic ap
proximation are used to describe the motion of the shell, the transduc
er, and the contiguous fluids.
