Abstract
Pseudomonas syringae pv. syringae causing leaf spot on pepper seedling s grown in a plant bed is reported in Italy for the first time. The pa thogen was identified by means of biochemical, physiological and patho genicity tests as well as by SDS-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis of whole-cell proteins. The bacterial isolates showed positive for ice n ucleation and biocide production.
