Abstract
Pressure dependence of the tunneling rate for the hydrogen transfer ph otoreaction in acridine: fluorene was investigated at 1.4 K. Above 10 kbar, the rate rises exponentially with increasing pressure. These dat a constitute a measurement of tunneling rate from the vibrational grou nd state. Its physical implications are discussed.
