Iy. Chan et al., PRESSURE-DEPENDENCE OF THE LOW-TEMPERATURE TUNNELING RATE FOR THE HYDROGEN-TRANSFER IN ACRIDINE-DOPED FLUORENE CRYSTALS, Chemical physics letters, 219(3-4), 1994, pp. 187-194
Pressure dependence of the tunneling rate for the hydrogen transfer ph
otoreaction in acridine: fluorene was investigated at 1.4 K. Above 10
kbar, the rate rises exponentially with increasing pressure. These dat
a constitute a measurement of tunneling rate from the vibrational grou
nd state. Its physical implications are discussed.
