Abstract
A high-speed optical fibre data link is described that uses naturally sampled pulse width modulation (PWM) to achieve a low bandwidth overhe ad. The link is suitable for low-distortion transmission of full speci fication video and audio signals or any analogue signal with a bandwid th of up to 6.5 MHz over one kilometre of fibre.
