Abstract
The stereochemistry of the reactions of 1-phenylsulfinylethyl radical (1r) and 1-phenylsulfinyl-2,2,2-trifluoroethyl radical (2r) with allyl stannanes has been examined. Preferential formation of products of opp osite relative configuration has been observed. Conformational analysi s of tile radical intermediates (AM1 calculations) allows to rationali ze the results.
