Abstract
Some methodological approaches to the problem of application of induce d hyperglycemia in oncology have been examined. It was shown that in v itro studies of the induced hyperglycemia have limited significance. M oreover, it was recommended to avoid i. p. glucose injections from stu dies investigating hyperglycemia problem. Experimental and clinical da ta concerning blood glucose level, as well as some parameters of gluco se metabolism, water electrolyte and acid-base balance in the organism , tumor and some normal tissues under glucose infusion were presented. The technique and schedules for hyperglycemia induction and mechanism s of induced hyperglycemia effects on tumor as well as some organism f unctions were proposed.
