Abstract
The amino acid composition and major physicochemical properties of a ' 'non-blue'' copper protein isolated earlier from Pseudomonas aeruginos a have been determined Azurin oxidase, cytochrome c(551), oxidase, and superoxide dismutase activities of nitrite reductase (cytochrome c, d (1)) from Ps. aeruginosa are inhibited by this protein. The inhibition is due to the interaction of the protein with the electron-accepting center of nitrite reductase.
