Abstract
The formation of polymolybdates with octahedrally and tetrahedrally co ordinated molybdenum, a cobalt-molybdenum phase and structures analogo us to CoTiO2 in CoMo/TiO2 catalysts using DR and IR spectroscopy have been investigated. Incorporation of cobalt leads to an increased hydro genolysis of thiophene and diminishes the hydrogenation function of mo lybdenum.
