Abstract
On the basis of an analysis of data on the characteristics of radiatio n accompanying the fracture of solids, it is suggested that DD reactio ns may take place during the fracture of deuterated dielectrics. Exper iments have indicated possible generation of neutrons at the moment of fracture of D2O crystals.
