Abstract
A high-power CO2 laser was supplied with an adaptive rear mirror, whos e radius of curvature can be changed by adjusting the pressure of the cooling medium. Investigations concerning the beam quality and the out put power were carried out. The design of the adaptive mirror and the results obtained with the adaptive mirror are presented and discussed.
